There are two grant-funding programs within the Florida Biomedical Research Programs administered by the Florida Department of Health, Office of Public Health Research.
The James and Esther King Biomedical Research Program supports biomedical, biotechnological, and social scientific research and development for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of tobacco-related diseases. There are currently three grant mechanisms for this Program including the New Investigator Research (NIR) Grant, Research Project Grant (RPG), Team Science Program (TSP) Grant, Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (PRF), and the Technology Transfer/Commercialization Partnership (TTCP) Grant. The Bankhead-Coley Cancer Research Program purpose is to advance progress towards cures for cancer through grants that support biomedical, biotechnological, and social scientific research and development.
